T-ono.net is growing alarmingly rapid that many of us staff members are being swamped in work and we need your help! Are you self motivated and trying to be more than just a fan? Why not take it a step further and join us as members of the anime and gaming press!
We're always happy to have new members and we consider all applications, so please do not hesitate to apply now!
Note that most positions are unpaid; however, the benefits of having worked in a professional organization as well as being inside the industry.
When applying, please prepare either a short article that you've composed (this can be a review, report, preview, etc.) or any work you have done previously in the past relating to the Japanese Contents Industry (anime, manga, video games, fashion, music, movies, etc.)
Current Openings:
Content Manager
Responsibilities
Chief task in organizing, as well as posting new information on the site. The top position for Staff Writers.
Network Administrator
Responsibilities
Keeping the databases including the Business Directory and the Figure Directory up to date.
Editor
Responsibilities
Similar to a Staff Writer (See Staff Writer/Columnist).
Assisting the Managing Editor in proofreading and correcting articles on the site. In general this is an upper level staff position for staff writers who have proven their professionalism.
PREREQUISITES
Should have a strong writing background with some editorial experience preferred but not required.
Staff Writer/Columnist
Responsibilities
Main purpose to provide updates to the site through news post and articles.
Compose articles of interests relating to the world of Japanese Content Industry.
Articles can range from indepth comparisions to simple blog like updates.
Individuals should be be able to express and, most importantly, support their opinions clearly.
Photographers
Responsibilities
Not all writers can take pictures and not all photographers can write, not well anyways.
Must have decent knowledge of photography basics and own DSLR camera.
Correspondent
The entry level position for all new staff members.
Their main task is to provide a story mostly entailing field work including:
Reports
Interviews
Attending anime/gaming/Japanese conventions and related events
These members are granted press passes on a case to case basis.
Prerequisites
Should have own camera preferably a DSLR.
Highly recommended for individual to have taken a college or high school level journalism class but not necessary.
Contributors
For those who are not commited enough to keep a consistent level of contribution, but who do occassionally or have had their work published on our site in the past.
These members may be granted a provisional press pass on a case by case basis.
