Recently announced by Arc System Works, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is the next installment of the hard rock, anime-style fighting game series. It will be breaking new grounds in the Guilty Gear series by introducing a 3D engine into the mix. By taking advantage of Epic Games' Unreal Engine, the aim, presumably, will be to enhance the experience of the Guilty Gear brand. Escalating it towards greater heights of aesthetic and gameplay quality.

Based on the teaser trailer alone, it is difficult to doubt the direction that Arc System Works will be taking the game. The rendering and visuals are potentially present, yielding fluid 2-d sprite animation and dynamic environments. For longtime enthusiasts of the franchise, several gameplay mechanics, iconic to the Guilty Gear, appear to remain intact - chain combos, air launchers, air combos, overdrives, and bursting.

Unfortunately, no release date has been attributed to Guilty Gear Xrd Sign. But the thought of rocking as Sol Badguy, slashing as Ky Kiske, or instant killing as Millia Rage in this lively rendition of the series could only mean one thing - prepare for the hype!
