Like previous Radiant Mythology titles, the gameplay is a standard action-RPG with a top-down view. The story will be told through cutscenes featuring hand drawn stills of characters. Production I.G., known for quality work on many anime series, will be working on action segments during gameplay. There’s a good chance they will also include an opening cutscene as well.
Owners of the recently released Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon X for PSP will be treated with bonus items when they purchase Radiant Mythology 3. Namco Bandai will also reintroduce the special download site for uploading and downloading user-created characters. Fans can download player created characters as NPCs and include them in their world of Radiant Mythology 3. Being able to create your own character and share it with the world will surely connect fans more than other single-player oriented RPGs.
Radiant Mythology 3 will be released in 2011 in Japan. No word on a North American release, but fans can only hope that this follows the tradition of the few Tales games that managed to come stateside, like Tales of Vesperia.
