Miyuki Sawashiro @ Anime Expo 2011

Anime Expo announced today that Japanese voice actress and singer Miyuki Sawashiro will be joining as Guest of Honor this year.  Sawashiro has worked on the anime adaptation of Black★Rock Shooter as Yomi Takanashi, Saeko Busujima from Highschool of the Dead, and more recently as Ayane Yano from Kimi ni Todoke.  With only a few more weeks left until Anime Expo 2011, I'm sure a few more surprises are on its way.  Stay tuned!

Hatsune Miku 3D Concert @ Anime Expo 2011

Envious Hatsune Miku fans everywhere probably heard about the live 3D projection concert that took place in Japan last year. Just hours ago, the news went out that the next 3D performance will be happening this July in the United States at Anime Expo 2011. We will add additional information later, but for now, you can visit the official page for the event here.

For those who can't make it, we will do our best to secure filming and photography rights.

(Updated) Summer Anime List 2011

Summer is around the corner and that typically means reruns on TV, but not for anime! Fans of the all female mangaka group CLAMP will be please to learn that they have provided a new original story and character design for the Blood series (Blood: The Last Vampire, Blood+). It will be interesting to see CLAMP's take on the gory natural of the original movie. Appleseed makes a return in the form of a new animated series, while Nuraihyon no Mago and Baka to Test gets a second season. Other series to keep an eye out for is the child raising series Usagi Drop, R-15, and Kami-sama no Memo-chou.

Full Metal Panic! Story Continues

While the final full volumed novel of Full Metal Panic! written by Shoji Gatoh ended on August 2010, the 15th volume of the manga adaptation, Full Metal Panic! Sigma, released earlier this week announced a new novelization for the series.

The new story will take place roughly 10 years after the events of the original series and will be written by Naoto Oguro while Shoji Gatoh, will supervise. Kanetake Ebikawa, the mechanical designer for novels posted an image for the project on his twitter.

Anime Expo, North America’s largest anime and manga celebration, had just announced a live concert with the chart-topping, female Japanese pop trio, Kalafina, when it returns to the L.A. Convention Center from July 1 - 4, 2011.   Along with the hit-making sound producer Yuki Kajiura, Kalafina has provided memorable songs for popular anime series including "Kara no Kyoukai – the Garden of sinners,"  "Kuroshitsuji -- Black Butler," and “PUELLA MAGI MADOKA☆MAGICA.”

Wondercon 2011 Recap

Wondercon is a small comic book turned pop media convention which makes its home in San Francisco. The easy way to think about it: Comic Con's little sister. Even though it's a fraction of the size, Wondercon still packs a wallop every year. This time around T-ono caught some face-time with Hyung Min-Woo, some great panels, and awesome cosplay. Read on for what you missed at Wondercon 2011!

 

I know this is not news for those like me that have been following the anime series. I waited and waited for the last 2 episodes, and they finally were broadcasted by MBS.

What do you think?

Trying not to put any spoilers here, but I think it made the story finally goes to a conclusion and I like how the story has been laying down many hints in each episode. I'm happy that my guess about the "truth" after watching episode 10 was actually right. ;)

Some of my friends said, they feel depressed after the anime is done. But knowing it has been such a big success, I'm sure there will be more things following up!
