Sekai Project’s 2013 Moe Headphones Doujin Book Surpasses Expectations on Kickstarter

Sekai Project 2013 Moe Headphones Kickstarter Project

Illustrated by Lunatic Joker, a circle (group) name for Tsukigami Luna (pen name), Sekai Project has launched a Kickstarter campaign to translate a 52-page softcover book featuring six designer headphones accentuated with ‘kawaii’ girls wearing the equipment. The book also includes headphone discussions with nine different Namco sound engineers and more.

Currently, the campaign has raised over $10,000, surpassing Sekai Project’s original expectations of $5,000.00 which will go to printing the book and postcards, shipping it and paying the creator. As with the original Japanese version, the book will be printed in Japan and will be identical in quality. Shipping will come from Japan as well. Pledge rewards includes a signed shikishi by Tsukigami Luna as well as printed postcards, digital wallpapers and more. Sekai Project's Kickstarter campaign ends ten days from now on January 29, 2014.

The first half of the book will cover the headphones listed below:

  • DIAMOND TEARS | EDGE
  • beats by dr.dre BEATS STUDIO
  • DIESEL Noise Division VEKTR
  • SONY MDR-1RBT
  • AKG Q701

The second half of the book, will feature nine Namco sound engineers who have worked on various video game titles:

  • Linda-AI-CUE - Taiko no Tatsujin and THE iDOLM@STER
  • Go Shiina - Tales of Legendia, Mr. Driller, and God Eater
  • Rio Hamamoto - Tekken series
  • Keiki Kobayashi - Ace Combat series
  • Yuuji Masubuchi - Taiko no Tatsujin
  • Tomomitsu Kaneko - Ace Combat series and Tekken series
  • Ryo Watanabe - Ridge Racer series, Ace Combat series, and THE iDOLM@STER
  • Taku Inoue - Katamari Damacy, Ridge Racer series, and Tekken series
  • Akitaka Tohyama - Tekken series, Katamari Damacy, and Ridge Racer series (No longer with Namco, currently a freelancer)
