SiM PLAYDEAD World Tour in America Begins Soon

SiM, who we last saw live at Crunchyroll Expo in 2022, is embarking on a world tour in support of their latest album, the PLAYDEAD World Tour.  They'll be spanning the United States starting on April 19 in Seattle, WA, and ending on May 24 in Boston, MA.

So, this was a night of firsts.

First time for me at the Fox Theater. First time for me to see Epica. First time for one of my friends and concert buddies to see both Epica and Sabaton. Not to mention, the first time I'm seeing Sabaton after a dreadful last two years. The pandemic has not been kind to live concerts, and I've seen many a tour be canceled, postponed, or cut short early.  It was a good night.  I've always wanted to see Epica, and Sabaton is one of my go-to bands time after time.  This show was a natural choice for me.

A couple of months ago, I introduced you to the European bands Nightwish and Beast in Black. This time around, we have one more of the big names of power metal, Sabaton, backed up by the more symphonic Epica. We are currently on the eve of Sabaton's latest American tour, The Tour To End All Tours, which is set to start on September 15. And before the Editor-in-Chief asks, yes, both of these bands are relevant to our coverage here.  If you're a power metal fan, you should see these bands.  They are well worth the journey, and you'll even learn a thing or two.

Attack on Titan Museum Photos and Report

news AoT Muse

The exhibit for Shingeki no Kyojin, also known as Attack on Titan, opened in Ueno Mori Museum on November 28, 2014. Based on the manga series, the museum displayed many scenes from the comic with original sketch work and enlarged poster boards. Some of the artwork were even colored and framed throughout the exhibit. I happened to pass by in December and found out that there were still tickets available so my curiosity led me there. Photos galore, read more!

Attack on Titan card game, visual novel and Blu-ray cover

One of the hottest anime series this season has been Production I.G,'s Attack on Titan, and for good reason. The tale of humans versus giants is so chalk full of plot twists and brutality that I've actually dubbed it as the anime industry's equivalent of Game of Thrones; as anyone who's seen up to episode five at the very least can attest to. The series' stunning and serious opening credits have been parodied countless times on YouTube and Nico Nico, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Production I.G. has teamed up with some of the most well-respected video game companies in Japan to expand the universe aside from the usual anime collectibles, manga and anime series.
