Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland Review

Japanese studio Gust isn't known for heavy hitting, big budget titles. It is a niche company, specialized in RPGs. Gust is known for the Atelier, Mana Khemia, and Ar tonelico series. They recently continued their flagship Atelier series with the release of Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland. Atelier Rorona is the story of amateur alchemist Rorona, who has recently gotten her hands on a workshop. She must do everything she can to keep it open. Atelier Rorona is the first North American Gust game on the Playstation 3, but does it have the same appeal as previous Atelier titles?

Valkyria Chronicles 3 To Be Announced

Due to a technical error, Valkyria Chronicles 3’s appearance at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) was revealed early. By replacing different scheduling images on the TGS website the words "Valkyria Chronicles 3: Voice Actor Announcement and Game Presentation" appears. There is no doubt now that there will be another sequel for the series. As of now, since only the presentation has been revealed, there’s no word on the platform as of yet. More after the break.

UPDATE: Valkyria Chronicles 3 will be on the Playstation Portable.

New Phantasy Star Portable Announced

Sega has announced a new entry to the Phantasy Star Portable series, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity. The new installment looks like it will be bigger and better than its predecessor, Phantasy Star Portable 2, including more story, characters, and online features.

Persona 3 Social Released Today

With three different interations of the game already released, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3  has landed on Japanese cell phones as Persona 3 Social. The game marks the series' first multiplayer title, bringing a whole new dimension of gameplay. Using the Mobage-town, which is a Japanese social network service for mobile phones, players can accomplish various quest, defeat evil shadows, and of course, collect personas.

While the game will be free to play, Atlus will support the game's network with the inclusion of various micro transactions, such as purchasing in-game items; no further information has been released. Players can probably expect to see special weapons or personas for sale. Although the game is not likely to be released in the United States, fans can still pray.
