During today's Nintendo Direct, Konami and Wayforward announced that they will be teaming up to develop Contra: Operation Galuga a new entry in the Contra series. Developed by WayForward (the studio behind the acclaimed Contra 4), Contra: Operation Galuga is scheduled to launch digitally in early 2024, with a physical version for consoles also on the way.

Independent game studio WayForward, in collaboration with publishing partners Sunsoft and Limited Run Games, is releasing an enhanced version of the original 16-bit survival-horror game, Clock Tower. The game, which was originally released on Super Famicom in 1995 in Japan, will now be officially translated and released in North America and Europe for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC in early 2024.

River City Girls Zero Announced - E3 2021

Publisher Arc System Works and developer Wayforward announced River City Girls Zero, known as Shin Nekkeketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Baka in Japan. This localized version will launch on the Nintendo Switch in late 2021, with other platforms to follow shortly. In addition, Limited Run Games announced they would produce a physical version.

 Shantaea and the Seven Sirens finally has a release date, publisher and developer WayForward announced. The half-genie hero will see the debut of her new game for PlayStation4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on May 28.

After teasing a possible return of Wonder Momo earlier this month, Bandai Namco has finally revealed their plans for an upcoming PC and Android game by WayForward (Duck Tales: Remastered) in addition to an anime series from ShiftyLook and Graphinica. The series will be directed by Yutaka Kagawa and will be streamed through Crunchyroll.
