For our long term readers, you may be aware of my love for music rhythm games and the DJMax series probably made the largest impact on me. I've logged countless hours playing the Japanese version of DJMax Online back in 2006 and the successive PSP releases which is why I am quite excited for their announcement of SUPERBEAT: XONiC. PM Studios will be releasing two limited edition versions: an X-OTIC Collection with only 450 units available for $100 that contains the game, two OSTs, and two LP records, and a X-CLUSIVE Collection with 500 units containing the game and two OSTs. For hardcore fans of the series, they will know how rare the limited editions of the games are and will be available starting today October 9th, at 4PM PDT on the official store.

As the second project to be a part of acttil's product portfolio, Little Witch Academia being the first, the company recently announced over the weekend that they will be releasing famed video game composer Nobuo Uematsu's picture e-book Blik-0 1946 this August on iTunes for $9.99.

For fans of Studio TRIGGER's Little Witch Academia, Anime Expo 2013 was something magical. From the guest appearance of Akko's famed voiced actress, Megumi Han, the announcement of the Little Witch Academia 2 Kickstarter campaign, and the presence of Akko and Shiny Chariot cosplayers casting their spells on other attendees, it was a wonderful time all around for fans of Yoh Yoshinari and Masahiko Otsuka's animated feature. On Day 3, fans were treated to a special Little Witch Academia Fan Event hosted by Acttil and Studio TRIGGER at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles.

Yesterday, acttil announced their first official project yesterday with news of an upcoming collaboration with TRIGGER to release the Collector's Edition release of Little Witch Academia on Blu-ray this summer. The Collector's Edition will come with one Blu-ray disc, an original soundtrack, and a 112-page art book. TRIGGER will be publishing the disc while acttil handles PR and marketing.

Founded by former NIS America employees, Jack Niida, Hiroko Kanazashi and Nao Miyazawa, acttil is a brand-new independent video game and digital contents publisher based out in Los Angeles whose core values are acceptance, creativity, teamwork, trust, innovation and love. Although the company's product line will include eBooks for PC, consoles, web and mobile platforms they also have plans to aid independent developers with publishing and providing marketing support; including localization, PR/marketing, production and digital publishing.
