While we previewed the Smart Doll back in January at Mirai Inc., we caught up with the creator, Danny Choo at Anime Expo to talk to him a little about the successful launch of the Smart Doll. The doll's release was met with overwhelming success and orders have been temporarily halted as each one is hand assembled in Japan.

Japanese fashion designer, Gashicon was at FanimeCon 2011 which was held earlier this year at the San Jose Convention Center from May 27-30, 2011. Gashicon is also best known for her Hangry & Angry character brand which includes a comic published in the popular Cure Magazine and various merchandise such as clothes, plushies, and other accessories. This year was North America's largest anime convention, Anime Expo's 20th anniversary. To celebrate, the convention decided to bring back some of it's more popular guests and otaku blogger Danny Choo was one of them. Internet sensation Danny Choo made his first official American appearance on June 30, 2010 at one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, Anime Expo. Choo runs the internationally recognized otaku blog, dannychoo.com which covers topics ranging from anime, figures, and Japanese culture. His website's popularity has spawned a plethora of merchandise including a future figure of his mascot Mirai, and an anime adaptation titled Chinka. Choo is also known for his Tokyo Stormtrooper dancing videos in Japan. Living the otaku dream, Choo works with various anime related companies including figure maker Goodsmile Company and more recently starring his own television show, Culture: Japan.
After Evolution Championship Series 2009 (EVO), we had a chance to talk with Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cuellar about this year's hugely successful EVO and what the future holds.

T-ono: Hello. Can you give a brief intro of yourself and what you do with Capcom Unity?
Seth Killian: Well, my name is Seth Killian and I've been organizing the EVO tournaments for a long time. Formerly a top ten, but not so much anymore - haven't had time to play or practice. I'm also the senior manager for community at Capcom, where I run the Capcom Unity website.
