Go Go Zettai Ranger! ZHP Review

A super hero, super baby, and Darkdeath Evilman, sounds like a cast of silly characters brought to you courtesy of Nippon Ichi Software (NIS). Zettai Hero Project: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman takes dungeon exploring and blends it with the deep gameplay fans have come to love from the Disgaea series. Like Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? and Cladun: This is an RPG!, ZHP disregards the norm and brings a blend of addictive gameplay and off the wall comedy that makes the game one of the more desirable handheld titles this year.

Z.H.P Released This Week!

All new strategy RPG Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman has been released this week. Z.H.P is available on the Playstation Portable and can be purchased on the Playstation Network or retail stores. Z.H.P was developed by the same team who created the Disgaea series. The new game has similar aspects that made the Disgaea series such a hit among hardcore strategy RPG gamers. Check out our review of Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman in the near future, but check out this new trailer in the meantime.

NIS America Announces Z.H.P.

For fans who liked Disgaea, they will be happy to know there is going to be a similar game called Zettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku (it will be localized in the US being called Z.H.P. ~Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman~) coming out between Fall or Winter 2010. It will be available in UMD format for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) as well as for download on the PlayStation Network. From the initial trailer and gamplay, it looks like the gameplay will be very similar to Disgaea's; however, the protagonist will have no party members. Supposedly there are “40 million ways to play” the game, though leveling up may or may not be as repetitive as in Disgaea. The promised countless combinations seem very appealing due to each combination having its own specific feature. This may be a hit-or-miss feature, as seen in other games that have tried it in the past.
