Aside from the three headlining games, Triple Threat will feature side tournaments for Super Street Fighter II HD Remix, Super Smash Brothers Brawl singles, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, and a ladies-only Street Fighter IV tournament. Seeing a new tournament organizer show so much love towards neglected games like 3rd Strike and BlazBlue almost brings a tear to my eyes. As if all this wasn't enough, the newest iteration of BlazBlue, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift will make an appearance at Triple Threat for gamers to try and test out. If we show enough love towards this new game at Triple Threat, a potential launch party for it may be in the works as well...
To hype people up more for this tournament, Active Gamers LA will also host a gaming party on Friday the 13th.
The party will feature everything the flyer mentions, so make sure to be there! The gaming lounge will feature several projectors and big screen HD TVs for everybody's fighting game pleasure. What better way to spend Friday the 13th than to play some fighting games, get some drinks, and watch out for random people dressed as Jason?
More info and tickets can be purchased at Active Gamers LA's website here.
PS. It will be Justin Wong's birthday that weekend, so make sure to wish him happy birthday!
