Enjoy.
Announced last month, Broccoli emailed their fans last week in regards to their closing. There was much speculation on the survivability of anime in the United States with its decline partially due to fansubs and scanlators, and within the last few months many companies and corporations were hit even harder with the economic down turn and Broccoli turned out to be one of them.
Broccoli has just finished running several giveaways as well as selling off a large portion of their remaining items from their office and warehouse. They are currently still trying to keep some titles licensed in the US by discussing it with other publishers.
The people at Broccoli USA are wonderful people and we've enjoyed working with them in the past. This is saddening news and we wish them the best of luck in their future endevowers.

I was surprised to find a giant stuffed Domo-kun dangling from the ceiling entrance of my local Target store.
Apparently Target is using Domo-kun as their character theme for its Halloween promotion carrying such products such as candied Domo-kun, toys, chocolates, and more.
Domo-kun is the mascot for the television station NHK in Japan.

Old news by now, but since most of the population seems oblivious, a new season of Full Metal Alchemist has been confirmed in volume 20 of the manga.
Supposedly a minor slipup occured in regards to a possible sequel at Anime Expo 2008. A couple weeks later, papers surfaced online listing staff members of BONES studio working on a new project. Most notably listing Yasuhiro Irie (Full Metal Alchemist Animator) as the the Director for "Fullmetal 2."
Shortly after, Mashahiko Minami President of BONES denies the authenticity of the papers, stating that a full internal investigation would ensue.
For any self respecting gamer, they should know that it's E3 week. Interestingly, Sony has announced that BONES studio is offering their new anime Xam'd: Lost Memories that is currently only available on their online store for download.
