Square Enix's new action adventure game, Nier, will be coming to American shores on April 27, 2010 - a mere three days after its Japanese release date. Details are sparse at the moment, but with the game coming out in a couple of months, we should find out more as the release date nears. With so many games having such short periods between American and Japanese release dates recently, one has to wonder why game developers haven't been doing this longer. The game stars Nier as the main character with his controversial partner, Kaine who apparently is a hermaphrodite. Note, that the game is being developed by Cavia and published by Square Enix. Square Enix's beloved franchise is back and has landed on the Nintendo DS. The Kingdom Hearts series is a collaboration of characters from one of the biggest animation studios of all time, Disney, and one of the most popular RPG production companies, Square Enix. When these two companies combine, it's like magic. While Disney's games are pretty dismal, with the help of Square Enix, Disney characters can make an appearance in a deep RPG as well.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a new PSP fighting game developed by Square Enix, featuring characters from the original Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy XI. Having developed fighting games in the past like Ehrgeiz and Tobal, Square Enix is no newcomer to fighting games, but how well would it fare after such a long hiatus?
