For fans of manga and anime, announcements from both Aninplex USA and Viz Media at Fanime 2012 were sure to please, though both definitely cause a bit of hurt on their wallets. With upcoming releases that will excite old and new fans, both Aniplex and Viz have a little something for everyone.

Viz Cinema in San Francisco will be premiering The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie subtitled in English from May 21 to June 5. The movie was originally released in Japan on February 6, 2010 earning 200 million yen (roughly 2.1 million USD) the first week. The film is based on Nagaru Tanigawa's light novel which has been adapted into a manga and two anime seasons. Viz Cinema had previously premiered the second Gurren Lagann movie in November 2009.
