Just days after announcing their new puzzle game, Zack and Ombra: The Phantom Amusement Park, the official website has launched and features basic game, character, and cast information. Despite being called Zack and Ombra, perhaps fans of moe out there will focus on Polly, Zack’s assistant, instead? More details and screenshots after the break.

So far, two voice actors have been revealed: Ryunosuke Kamiki as Zack and Nanami Sakuraba as Polly. Kamiki and Sakuraba are both up- and-coming talents in the industry, both working on Summer Wars as Kenji Koiso and Natsuki Shinohara respectively.

From what’s revealed so far, players will explore the Phantom Amusement Park in search of Ombra and their “pranks.” These pranks play out like minigames ranging from puzzles to action oriented games. One of these minigames involved spotting and tapping Ombra within a time limit, while another involved a couple of singing Ombra.

For anyone unfamiliar with Level-5's Professor Layton series, the premise revolves around him solving a large mystery while encountering characters and puzzles. So far, the two sound quite similar but Zack and Ombra adds an action twist to the formula. That and a little girl as an assistant instead. The game will be released on Nintendo DS in Japan on October 28, with sales numbers that tell us whether Polly or Luke, Layton’s assistant, is more popular. While waiting for this epic showdown, feel free to check out the website here.
