Decades after defining a generation of magical girl and isekai storytelling, CLAMP’s legendary masterpiece is officially back on screens. Produced by E&H Production, the brand-new Magic Knight Rayearth television anime officially launches its debut episode—titled "From Another World"—today, October 7, 2026. Fans who grew up with the original 1990s classic, as well as a whole new generation of viewers, can catch the premiere streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the packed Fall 2026 lineup.
The modern reboot stays true to the beloved premise that captured hearts over thirty years ago. The story follows ordinary middle schoolers Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fuu Hououji who, while visiting Tokyo Tower on a school field trip, are suddenly pulled through a mystical rift into the endangered fantasy realm of Cefiro. With fresh animation and high-end production values, this updated adaptation breathes vibrant new life into a foundational fantasy milestone.
