Kojima Productions has officially revealed new details and a teaser video for Death Stranding Isolations, an upcoming animated series scheduled to stream exclusively on Disney+ and other Disney services in 2027. The announcement was made during the studio's 10th-anniversary celebration exhibition, "BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor," held at the Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo. Executive produced by Hideo Kojima, the project expands the world of Death Stranding into animated storytelling.

Set in North America immediately after the game's protagonist, Sam, reconnects the continent through the Chiral Network, the series features an original story separate from the video games. The plot follows a young man and woman navigating a changing world filled with new conflicts and unexpected encounters. Brought to life using traditional hand-drawn 2D animation by studio E&H production, Death Stranding Isolations is directed by Takayuki Sano, with series composition and screenplay written by author Tow Ubukata and original character designs by Ilya Kuvshinov.
