Architects officially kicks off their 2025 North American Tour on July 21 in Charlotte, NC, but prior to this they'll have a few festival appearances at Rock Fest, Upheaval, and Incarceration. Their California dates will be on July 31 in Los Angeles, August 1 in Anaheim, and August 2 in San Francisco. They'll be criss-crossing the United States with a few jaunts up into Canada too, with the final date being August 22 in New York. Erra and Holy Watr will support the band on the tour.
Architects hails from England and was founded in 2004 by brothers Tom and Dan Searle. The band's current configuration still includes Dan Searle on drums and has Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass, and Adam Christianson on guitar. The band's music has been featured in video games like Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Watch Dogs: Legion, Forza, and even Fortnite. Most relevant to readers here is frontman Sam Carter's work on the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker theme as he provided vocals with FFXIV's own THE PRIMALS on instruments.
The band's most recent album, The Sky, the Earth & All Between, was released in February 2025. The album has been in progress since 2023 with the first single, "Seeing Red," being released in December of that year. Expect to hear a lot of music from that album along with some past standouts like "Doomsday" and "Royal Beggars" from Holy Hell and "Animals" and "Impermanence" from For Those That Wish to Exist. The band's Abbey Road version of "Animals" where they performed alongside an orchestra remains one of their standout performances for me.
The Sky, the Earth & All Between is the first album to not have Josh Middleton on lead guitar, with Adam Christianson taking up both the lead and rhythm positions. It was produced by Jordan Fish, the former keyboardist of fellow UK band Bring Me the Horizon.
