Daisuke Kishio Interview Video

We got some great interviews during Anime Expo this year but it was completely unexpected that we got to do an impromptu interview with voice actor Daisuke Kishio! He is probably best known for his roles as Van Flyheight from Zoids, Kaname Kuran from Vampire Knight, Souichi Negishi from Detroit Metal City and Noel Kreiss from Final Fantasy XIII-2!

Anime Expo 2012 Guest of Honor: Steve Blum

Spike Spiegel, Roger Smith, Guilmon, Orochimaru, Mugen, Wolverine, Vincent Valentine: these are just a few names that have been voiced by one of the most well-known voice actors in the industry, Anime Expo’s guest of honor, Steve Blum. Steve Blum has voiced so many characters in both the anime and video game industries that even Guinness World Record recently awarded him for being the most prolific voice actor with 261 credited appearances as of May tenth of this year. Most recently, he can be heard as the voice of Amon in Avatar: Legend of Korra as well as the role that has defined him for a generation of fans: T.O.M. of Toonami.

ANIMETAL USA Interview @ Anime Expo 2012

Anime heavy metal band ANIMETAL USA shredded their way through the Los Angeles Convention Center during Anime Expo 2012, and we had a chance to sit down with them this year. Our resident staffers, Salvador Mateos, Jason Young and Theodore Mak talked to the group about their history and their inspiration for creating heavy metal covers of various anime songs including “Pegasus” and “Rock Lee.”

This year MangaGamer brought acclaimed eroge voice actress Tamiyasu Tomoe with them to Anime Expo 2012 as an industry guest. LiSA Interview @ Anime Expo 2012

The-O Network’s Jason Young and Theodore Mak had a chance to interview Japanese pop singer LiSA at Anime Expo 2012. LiSA, who is widely known for her work as the singing voice for Angel Beats!’s Yui and Fate/Zero’s opening “Oath/Sign” has released two Oricon-charting albums Letters to U and Lover"S"Mile to date, making her an up-and-coming J-pop sensation. Tamiyasu Tomoe to Attend Anime Expo 2012

Earlier today, MangaGamer announced that OVERDRIVE president Bamboo, Dengeki Stryker artist Katakura Shinji, and voice actress Tamiyasu Tomoe will be joining them for Anime Expo 2012 to be held this year in Los Angeles between June 29th and July 2nd. Tamiyasu, whose impressive credentials includes Yayoi from DEARDROPS and Riki Naoe, and Sasami Sasasegawa from Little Busters! will be making her debut American appearance.
