Ok well, enough of the jokes but yes it has been 23 years since Eiichiro Oda gave us "One Piece" and like most, it has been part of our lives. We have read the manga or seen the anime or maybe even seen some merchandise of the characters. So it's no surprise that this series is huge in Japan, so huge that I dare I say...if you step off the plane in Japan and without knowing a single word of Japanese you tell a Japanese native "One Piece" they will automatically nod and know what you are talking about.

In January 2021 major publisher Shueisha to celebrate the 1000 chapter of "One Piece", they are holding a worldwide voting poll called "World Top 100" so our fans can vote and decide who is the best of the best in the "One Piece" universe. So it seems that you will have a choice of 1000 characters to pick from and once you cast your vote you will receive a random AR "One Piece" character, So don't forget to take pictures using this AR model and then posting on Twitter or any social media by tagging @t-ono @OPcom_info #Shueisha #ONEPIECE #WorldTop100.

All this is part of Shueisha's "One Piece 1000 LOGS" Project which on top of bringing us "World Top 100" on the main website they have other content not only from "One Piece" but from other projects they tend to release. Also, there is a letter from Eiichiro Oda himself reflecting on his years with this "One Piece" so that is a must-read for true fans. I just wonder if he has always had a top character or if he changes as the arc change? but I digress so as we enter 2021 a year that is still unknown and somewhat scary for many of us Shueisha wants to unify the world as one in the "One Piece" fandom with the slogan "We Are One"

There is the voting to find who is the world's top 100 and for that, you get an AR model, which by the way they will be releasing more character models as the event goes on and you can vote daily so why not. The event is from Jan 3, 2021 [7 am PST]- till Feb 28, 2021 [6:59 am PST]. Shueisha is also taking a full-color page ad in the New York Times so for those who love to collect stuff this is something you might want to seek out. Aside from that for those who read Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine if you get issues #3, #4 and #5, #6 and combined them you get a cover art that includes artist such as Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro (author of "BUILD KING"), Kohei Horikoshi (author of "My Hero Academia"), Boichi (author of "Dr. Stone") and Gege Akutami (author of "Jujutsu Kaisen") these artists show off their own rendition of such characters as Gaimon, Don Krieg, and Arlong [respectfully].

On top of that, each pair of issues will come with posters that when combined will create the biggest in Weekly Shonen Jump history, and on the back, there is newly drawn art from Eiichiro Oda that includes all the memorable moments up the 1000th chapter. Remember to go vote....what you still want more fine you asked for it. Shueisha will make volumes 1-71 of "One Piece" free on the "Shonen Jump +" and "ZEBRACK" mobile apps.

You can tag along with Luffy and his crew all the way from the start till the Dressrosa Arc so if you have someone who isn't a fan you can tell them about this because this is huge. So when you go to vote remember to change the language to English on top to better navigate them seas. Off you go now while I still debate whom to vote for Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Zoro, no no I got it Sanji this is hard at least I get to cast a vote daily.
