Anime Impulse, originally based out of Southern California, is taking their show on the road to the rest of California, and in just a few weeks, will be making a stop in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Their main event is usually held in mid-January and they'll be bringing a taste of it to the Bay Area. On July 29-30, just a week after San Diego Comic Con, they'll be at the San Mateo County Event Center, which is about ten minutes south of San Francisco International Airport (and a half hour south of San Francisco itself). There will be one more event in the fall at the Anaheim Convention Center on September 2-3.

Anime Impulse has quickly shown itself to be a rising star of California events going from a weekend event to multiple weekends down south, and now to multiple weekends across the state.  As Crunchyroll has sunsetted Crunchyroll Expo for the time being, Anime Impulse helps fill the void during this time of year.

Super-popular cosplayer Ely will make her first northern California appearance at the Bay Area edition. She has previously been to the main event in Los Angeles in previous years. Two skateboard decks and dakimakuras will be available exclusively at the Bay Area event featuring Ely in both a light and dark-colored 2B costume from Nier Automata fame.

The event partners with Virtual YouTuber group Nijisanji EN and will have a number of talents including Kotoka Torahime, Meloco Kyoran, Scarle Yonaguni, Aster Arcadia, Aia Amare, Maria Marionette, Ren Zotto, Kyo Kaneko, Ver Vermillion, Doppio Dropscythe, and Hex Haywire. You can purchase  meet-and-greet time ($50 per minute, up to three minutes per person) with each of them. There will also be two Q&A panels featuring the Nijisanji groups XSOLEIL and ILUNA.

You'll also be able to meet voice talents Alejandro Saab, Adam McArthur, Anne Yatco, Allegra Clark, Matthew David Rudd, Stephen Fu, Xanthe Huynh, Faye Mata, Kira Buckland, and Casey Mongillo, and can purchase an autograph or two.

Anime Impulse is working alongside Sneaker Expo and K-PLAY! FEST as part of the tour. Sneaker Expo, as the name might suggest, is about buying, selling, and trading sneakers. K-PLAY! FEST is a convention all about K-Pop, and will feature a performance by Youngji (also known as Lee Young-ji from the Korean music competitions High School Rapper 3 and Show Me the Money 11) on July 30. It's kind of like getting three conventions for your dollar. Note that basic entry is what you get for the badge price, and for anything extra like meet-and-greets or the Youngji concert, will be extra.

Tickets are $40 for a two-day pass. Gates open at 11AM and close at 8PM.
