Organized once a year by the Asia Northwest Education Association (ANCEA), Sakura-Con 2014 is currently in full swing this weekend (April 18- 20) at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington. So far, 2014 has been a fantastic year for the con-goers including everything from cosplay to the star-studded Guests of Honor lineup featuring production crew from Wilt Studio's Attack on Titan to JPOP singer Elisa and more!

Sac Anime has grown to be a formidable event for convention goers here in the capital city of California. With its gradual transition to the convention center as a mean to accommodate for the increasing number of attendees and activities every year, the experience is, without a doubt, getting bigger and better. The-O Network had the chance to visit Sac Anime earlier this year, sensing its bright future then and that which is to come.

I attended Anime Los Angeles 10 (ALA) Jan 10-12, 2014 for the first time, so I didn't know what to expect. As someone who has attended other anime and science-fiction conventions before, I was interested in seeing how ALA would be; especially since they had a chairman who came from a sci-fi background. All I can say it was a very unique experience. The convention was well organized and had the normal things maid café, artist alley, dealer's room, masquerade, etc. In addition, one interesting thing was that the game room had panchiko machines in addition to the normal consoles for gaming tournaments.

Sorry folks for the lack of updates, we ran into some issues last week; including some major hardware meltdown! We were able to interview the absolutely adorable all-girl dance group JDee'Z, the awesome idol group Dempagumi.inc that could give The IdolM@ster a run for their money, the legendary famed video game composer Noriyuki Iwadare, artist Tatsuro Iwamoto who created the characters for the Ace Attorney series, artist Yusuke Kozaki who did the character designs for Fire Emblem: Awakening and No More Heroes and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto who created some of anime's most iconic characters for the cult-classic series Evangelion!

Japan Expo, a festival showcasing Japanese culture that annually takes place in Paris, France, recently made its debut in the United States. Known as Japan Expo USA, it was held at the Santa Clara Convention in Santa Clara, California from August 23^rd to the 25^th. Among the many international guests who made the trip oversea, renown video game composer Noriyuki Iwadare made quite an impression – particularly in terms of his concert.

Despite living in Indiana all my life, I had never really thought about attending Gen Con Indy until about two years ago in 2010. Only then did I realize how large this convention actually is. Gen Con Indy 2013 took place in the Indianapolis Convention Center during the weekend, August 15-18. The first Gen Con took place in famed Dungeons and Dragons creator Gary Gygax's home in 1967 and has since grown to have a turnstile attendance of 159,364 and unique attendance of 49,058 as of 2013.

Japan Expo USA is just around the corner and the organizers have just released an update to their autograph policy. Japan Expo also has an exciting lineup of guests that fans are clamoring to get their autographs. It is refreshing to see many of the rules Japan Expo has implemented is intended to curve repeaters and to allow for as many different people to get autographs as possible each day. As to how smoothly this will be in practice remains to be seen, as this will depend on the number of first come first serve coupons available and the number of attendees trying to get autographs each day.

Unfortunately, we've seen our fair share of people missing out on autograph session due to a simple miscommunication or misinterpretation.
