Fast Striker is a new arcade shooter coming out for the Sega Dreamcast this winter. Fast Striker was originally developed for the Neo Geo game system, but now has found itself onto the classic Sega system. The arrival of Fast Striker on the Dreamcast truly shows how the gaming community still supports the system.

There will be two different version of the game available for pre-order. Fans can either purchase a regular or limited edition version of the game, which will also include a soundtrack. Gamers can also pick up the double pack, which contains both versions. Although it’s puzzling why anyone would want it.

This game can be best described as an arcade shooter, like Gundemonium and Suguri. Fast Striker has three modes for players to choose from, maniac, original, and novice. Novice and original are nothing new to shooter fans; just shoot enemies and rack up points. However, maniac mode will force players to continually shoot enemies as quickly as possible if they are to build up multipliers and rack up even more points.and will feature six different stages with over 40 different enemies and bosses. Both bosses and the scrolling backgrounds are all pre-rendered CGI, giving them a great bit of detail.

It’s great to see the Dreamcast still alive. To learn more about Fast Striker, Dreamcast and shooter fans can visit the official Fast Striker website.
