Baby V.O.X Concert Report - Pechanga Summit

The legendary first-generation K-pop girl group Baby V.O.X held a solo concert at the Pechanga Summit Event Center on April 25, marking the group’s first solo concert in the United States since their debut.  Although the concert was listed to be in Los Angeles, it was closer to San Diego territory. Pechanga Resort Casino attracts a large Korean community, serving as a popular destination for Korean visitors from across Southern California. So as you expected, there were many Korean fans in attendance to enjoy the show.

Despite the venue’s limited seating capacity of approximately 1,200, the concert was nearly sold out. The audience consisted largely of younger and middle-aged fans, though many longtime senior fans were also in attendance, showing the group’s long-term popularity across generations.

The concert featured a noticeably different setlist compared to the group’s previous performances. Members Kan Mi-youn and Yoon Eun-hye each performed solo stages, showcasing their songs. Accompanied by four backup dancers, the group delivered energetic performances throughout the night.

Fans enthusiastically sang along as Baby V.O.X performed many of their hit songs, including Ya Ya Ya, Doll, Xcstasy, Play, Coincidence, Get Up, and Why. Toward the end of the concert, Lee Hee-jin performed the group’s “Paparazzi,” with a very cute group pose.

The group maintained strong interaction with the audience throughout the evening, frequently handing the microphone toward the crowd to encourage singalongs and fan participation.

As this was a very nostalgic concert for many people, it was also very much so for the singers when Lee Heejin started crying during the performance of Missing You.  Fellow member Yoon Eun-hye comforted her by bringing tissues, creating a heartfelt moment that the singers and audience can see and feel through their music.

As the concert concluded, emotions remained high among attendees. Some fans were visibly emotional while others expressed excitement as they lined up for the VIP photo session, eager to share one final moment with the group.
