MAN WITH A MISSION, for those uninitiated, is a five-member group of wolves first created by Jimi Hendrix (or so the backstory goes). The group's lineup has stayed constant since their first exposure to the world back in 2010 and includes vocalist Tokyo Tanaka, guitarist Jean-Ken Johnny, bassist Kamikaze Boy, DJ Santa Monica, and drummer Spear-Rib. Man With a Mission quickly sprang onto the scene and their brand of rock has spread across the world.
We last saw them in September of 2019 (check out our coverage here) in San Francisco. The band has been busy since then, releasing an album in late 2021 titled "Break and Cross the Walls I," which naturally was followed by "Break and Cross the Walls II" in 2022. Both albums included a bevy of songs used in various movies, TV series, and anime, including INTO THE DEEP (Godzilla vs Kong), Merry-Go-Round (My Hero Academia), Blaze (Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans), and Dark Crow (Vinland Saga).
MAN WITH A MISSION's most recent work has been the opening song for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's third season, Kizuna no Kiseki.
San Francisco again kicks off the tour, this time at August Hall on May 14. This will be followed shortly by shows in Los Angeles, Texas, Illinois, Toronto, New York, and finally, Boston, MA.
Following their stint in the United States, the band heads to Europe for the summer. The world tour resumes on June 11 in the Czech Republic at the Rock for People festival and will include shows in the Netherlands, France, the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Spain's Resurrection Festival marks their last stop on the tour on June 30.
