Hi Everyone!

Some of you might already knew, or saw it on my FB updates. Nico Nico Douga (NND), English site is now up for beta testing! As a NND user since 2007, I'm so excited about the new English site! =D

(The beta site does not have uploading feature yet, but it will be available sometime next week =D)

Nico Nico Douga is a popular video streaming site in Japan. In the last 1.5 days, the "likes" on their Facebook page increased from 300 to over 1000. I'm sure many many anime fans like me are super excited about it!

The English NND staffs are now working hard to get everyone's input to make the site better.

Some of the most common suggestions are:

1. Allow special characters and Japanese characters in the comments. Many including me would really love those to be enabled so that we can decorate videos like the Japanese site.

2. Many NND Japan users such myself think the original Japanese NND layout is much more preferable than the English one.

As we put down our suggestions and comments on their Facebook page, English Nico Nico Douga staffs warmly replied to our suggestions. I felt very welcomed just like on NND Japan.

(As I am writing this post, I noticed the layout is getting better with the suggestions we wrote down.)

Now I get nostalgic and remember my first performance of singing Nico Nico Douga Medley for FanimeCon 2008 Masquerade opening. there were already many people that knew about this song in 2008, and many others Googled about it online after the show.
