The new song pack adds a new level of intensity to the game’s combination of eye-popping 3D graphics with elements of Guitar Hero, Tap Tap Revenge, Audio Surf, and WipeOut 64 for a fast, fun music gaming experience.
“This new level is challenging and aggressive just like The Prodigy themselves,” remarked lead game designer Paul Berry. “I hope gamers are ready for intense fun.”
The Prodigy has sold a combined 20 million plus records during their long career with its recent album Invaders Must Die hitting number one. The two-song “Prodigy Pack” features OMEN from Invaders Must Die, and POISON from Music For The Jilted Generation, big tracks from the pioneers of the Big Beat sound.
iPhone/iPod Touch Apps Updated
An update for the iPhone and iPod Touch version of Rhythm Racer 2 will reduce the size of the app allowing users to download over the 3G network rather than needing a computer or wi-fi connection.
The update will have 2 (rather than four) free tracks built in, with more free and premium music packs available for download. The downloadable premium music packs for both versions include hits from multi-platinum artists Boston, Filter, The Crystal Method, The Prodigy and coming soon, All American Rejects, and Kaiser Chiefs. New free indie music levels are on the way, too. This update is expected to go live late-July 2010.
